Beijing announced its support for Buenos Aires’ territorial claims over the Falklands as it welcomed the country into its Belt and Road project. (The Guardian)

Truss’ outrage drew scorn from Chinese state-affiliated reporters, with Chen Weihua saying via Twitter “It’s okay for UK to challenge China’s sovereignty in the South China Sea by sending navy vessels?”
